Spontaneous Combustion of Electrical wiring and Appliances

Postby leecol » Sat May 31, 2008 5:57 pm

Hiya Folks,

Here is an interesting story about an small village in Sicily, experiencing strange electrical phenomena.

http://ckean.wordpress.com/alien-demon- ... an-x-file/

There is probably a rational explanation, however I have not seen any credible explanations given. However, one thought did occur to me  I wonder if there are any secret government testing of high powered radar or energy weapons near by?

What do ya'all think?

Cheers,

Lee.

Hi Padre,

Well as allways i remain dubious of anything attributed to demons, the very fact that the activity ceased after the electrical supply was terminated speaks volumes, and there are many things that could cause it, one thing that springs to mind is the fact that this area is volcanic, volcanos as we all know create a great deal of potential energy (geothermal) also a broad spectrum of flammable and toxic gases,Its possible that these natural gases build up, and after a while are ignited by a dodgey electrical system or natural static charges from volcanic activity, It does not take 15 gigawatts to ignite gas, after all, one can ignite flatulence with a lighter (mythbusters).

And why the heck would Aliens want to travel billions of light years to set fire to a toaster ? :? , As for the cable bursting into flame without being plugged in, I have personally experienced a static charge fom a thirteen amp plug that was'nt attatched to the electrical supply, I think that there is a natural explanation for this, not a diabolical one.

Hi all,

I was quite intrigued by this (as sicily is a stones throw away from Malta - they even do day trips there!), until I read further down the artricle to the so called conversation between the Italian version of the "Investigation Minister", Scully and Mulder!!!

Need I say more?

Hi all

Yes the Scully /Mulder bit was a tad ridiculous even down to the fact the minister (or whatever he was ) was the italian equivalent of Skinner

Hiya folks,

Mulder and Scully jokes aside, the phenomena is real and has been reliable recorded.
However I must confess to a little white lie:

Actually I have already read the 'official explanation', for the aforementioned phenomena.
Jane must be congratulated for her appraisal of the situation and subsequent diagnosis. With regards to the reasoning behind the phenomena. Basically you was spot on Jane, whether you had already looked further into the case or not, is of no consequence. You basically looked through the stupid jokes and various crappy theories and came up with a viable option. Without invoking stupid theories involving emf's etc, that in reality would have to be on a massive scale. If that being the case then; such emf's would be detectable, even if the emf's are only of a transitory nature!

Well done Jane!

Cheers,

Lee.

Hi Padre,
acually, i had never seen this case before, i just read the link ignored the crap and assessed the enviromental factors, after all, a bolt of lightning can produce in excess of a gigawatt i belive, and i have seen electrial appliances doing some pretty wierd things WITHOUT being connected to a supply.

Thanks for the praise father lee
