In an unprecedented move for a country--and perhaps the whole world-- military authorities have made public a video showing 11 unidentified flying objects (UFOs) captured by an aircraft belonging to the Secretariat of National Defence (SEDENA).
The encounter occurred on March 5, when an aircraft belonging to the Mexican Air Force, a Merlin C26/A, was engaged in drug interdiction patrols. At around 17:00 hours it detected the presence of 11 objects following it.
The video footage is captured through the penetrating eyes of an infrared imaging system (FLIR) mounted underneath the aircraft. Infrared has a longer wave length than normal visible light and will travel through rain, fog and clouds to some degree. The onboard FLIR system is short range compared to radar, but enables the pilot to view and identify an object as a real image.
