Active - Storm! (Homepage info)

Hi folks,

It's Thursday the 21st January 2010 and I have just noticed that the geomagnetic fields are RED, STORM and the solar flares are ACTIVE at the moment. It may be interesting to note if anything unusual happens at this time.

All I can report today so far is that I have an ususal kind of headache (for me that is) and that I thought Simon walked into the kitchen while I was peeling potatoes this evening, turn round and walk out again. I shouted him to see what he wanted, wondering why he came in and went out again, and he was actually upstairs! Oo-er!

funny you should say that........I installed a cctv system in my house today, walked into the living room (where everyone was sat down)just in time to see a white figure disappear into the kitchen on the hall camera . Where the kitchen is now used to be the dinning room. .....Methinks that i should hurry up and get the recorder set up

So, has anyone got any evidence (hearsay or actual) that links solar activity and geomagnetic forces to possible paranormal events? In the old days, (you know, in the beginning according to MH ) it was thought that they may have an effect on the sightings of 'ghosts', but mainly because of the effect such things has on the earth - rather like the effect the moon has on some people. I always record this data when we go on investigations, although I haven't noticed any particular link between the state of the sun and paranormal activity as yet!

Ideas and thoughts anyone?

Well i went and got the dvd recorder,its getting the thing to agree with the cameras thats difficult,The bloody instructions might just as well be in Japanese for all the use they are

humm interesting thought - what do solar storms produce ? visible Aurora - which display as shimmering lights - so could it not be that solar flares and activity - and even sunspots COULD energise the atmosphere in some way and maybe facilitate the viewing of the otherwise unseen ?? - after all IF spirits and ghosts are electromagnetic in nature - could be just the oomph they need to be able to become visible to us - or conversely - the energetic particles could in some way affect the vibrational frequency - enabling them to be seen - an interesting study would be to correlate reported numbers of sightings to solar activity - tho where one would start .....................

Hiya Folks,

An interesting idea, which has been bandied about for some time now. However I remember reading about some preliminary research carried out in association with American EVP. The results from what I can remember found that; there was no correlation between alleged paranormal occurrences during high electromagnetic activity and solar flares.

Admittedly, this is only one preliminary study and I do not know of the direct methodology and statistical analysis that was implemented in the study.

Perhaps a new research project for PASSA members?

Whilst there are no real actual studies done on this subject, we have found that in alleged haunted locations, when we have been there during times of increased solar activity, the 'haunting' type effects have sometimes (and I stress sometimes) been more prevalent! Perhaps a thorough investigation into this matter is called for as you said Lee!
